Founded a century ago by our ancestors, the Greek Community of Beirut is a Non Profitable Organization that undertakes its activities in a permanent and uninterrupted manner in accordance with the laws in force and its approved statutes.
It has been almost a century since a large and close-knit Greek community settled in Lebanon. At the very beginning and during the ottoman occupation there were many Greeks who were established in this region (Beirut, Tripoli, Aleppo…).

The Greek Language Department (TEG) of Beirut operates under the auspices of the Greek Community of Beirut, offering courses to adults and children starting from the age of eight.
